TII recognises the importance of ensuring that all our sites are inclusive and accessible to everyone. On this basis, the eToll website has been designed to achieve “Double-A” accessibility of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (“W3C”) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (“WCAG 1.0”). WCAG 1.0 may be viewed here and its purpose is to detail how a website may be made more accessible and usable for people with disabilities.
The eToll website also strives to comply with the National Disability Authority IT Accessibility Guidelines (the “NDAIA Guidelines”). The NDAIA Guidelines may be viewed here.
Conformance with WCAG 1.0 and the NDAIA Guidelines helps to make the eToll website more user friendly to everyone but if you have any suggestions as to how we could improve the accessibility of our website please contact one of our staff members whose contact details are provided above.
Many links have title attributes. All of them open in the browser. All images have ALT descriptions, unless they are decorative in which case they have null values.
The eToll website has been designed using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for layout and visual formatting. Tables are rarely used on the eToll website and where they are used, it is only because the relevant data is most appropriately displayed in a table format.
